Delivery & Wedding Set-Up Policy

At Floral Atelier, we carefully deliver fresh flowers, wedding flowers and event florals across Adelaide and selected surrounding areas.

Delivery fees, available delivery areas and delivery timeframes are shown at checkout or confirmed in your quotation.

Nothing in this policy excludes or limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

Fresh Flower Deliveries

Fresh flower orders are delivered to the address provided at checkout.

Please ensure the recipient’s name, address, contact number, delivery date and any delivery instructions are correct. This is especially important for hospitals, workplaces, apartments, gated properties, hotels and venues.

Where the recipient is not home or unavailable, we will make every reasonable effort to leave the flowers in the safest accessible location available. Fresh flowers are always left with water wherever possible to help protect their condition.

We take a delivery photograph when flowers are left unattended. This photograph may include the arrangement and its delivery location and is kept as proof of delivery.

Suitable locations may include a shaded front door, covered porch, reception desk, concierge, neighbour, safe side entrance or another place specifically authorised in your delivery instructions.

We will not leave flowers where we believe they may be exposed to direct sun, rain, strong wind, excessive heat, public access or another clear risk of damage.

If Delivery Cannot Be Completed

If we cannot safely leave the flowers and cannot contact the recipient or sender, we may need to return the order to our studio.

A redelivery fee may apply where delivery cannot be completed because of:

• incorrect or incomplete address details;
• incorrect recipient contact details;
• restricted access to a building or venue;
• recipient unavailability;
• no safe place available; or
• delivery instructions not provided or unclear.

Fresh flowers are perishable. We cannot guarantee the condition of flowers after they have been safely delivered and photographed, particularly where they are left unattended at the customer’s request or according to the delivery instructions provided.

Delivery Timing

We aim to deliver within the selected or agreed delivery timeframe. Delivery times may be affected by traffic, weather conditions, road closures, venue access, major events or other circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Where a significant delay is expected, we will make reasonable efforts to contact the sender or recipient using the details supplied with the order.

For time-sensitive occasions, please provide clear delivery instructions and allow sufficient time before your event, reservation, birthday celebration or other important occasion.

Wedding Flower Delivery

Wedding flowers are prepared specifically for your wedding date, colour palette, confirmed quantities and approved design brief.

Wedding delivery details, including delivery addresses, contact people, access instructions, ceremony time, reception venue and set-up requirements, must be confirmed before the wedding date.

Wedding flowers are usually delivered to the agreed getting-ready location, ceremony location, reception venue or another confirmed address. Delivery timing is arranged in advance to suit the wedding schedule and the condition of the flowers.

The client is responsible for ensuring that the venue, wedding planner, coordinator or nominated contact is available to receive the flowers at the agreed time.

Wedding Set-Up and Installation

Where wedding or event set-up is included in your quotation, Floral Atelier will install the agreed flowers and styling items at the confirmed venue and within the agreed access period.

The client must ensure that:

• venue access is available at the confirmed time;
• tables, furniture and styling areas are ready for installation;
• the venue has approved the proposed floral set-up;
• required venue staff or coordinators are available where needed; and
• all final venue and access information is provided before the event.

Additional charges may apply where access is delayed, venue details change, installation requires extra time, or set-up cannot proceed as originally planned due to circumstances outside our control.

Once wedding flowers or styling have been delivered or installed, responsibility for their care passes to the client, venue or nominated contact. Please keep all fresh flowers away from direct sun, heat sources, air-conditioning vents, candles and excessive handling.
